from now on i'll be posting my amazing findings on the website...not the blog. BUT - never fear - my insane, rambling, nonsense, silly, "unprofessional" (as my family tells me) commentary will be on the website - cause isn't that about as appealing as my furniture???? ha!!

today is rainy and nasty...wouldn't it be awesome to set this bed up at your house and crawl into it and stay under the covers for the day?? (crud...i'd crawl into the tub if i could stay under the covers all day....alone... hee hee) this one is cream and distressed - makes the architectural lines really show up - and i think the baseboard is so cool - fun curves on the bottom and the tip of the sides curls up way great! set includes headboard, footboard, metal rails and slats.

so i am frantically, desperately, and frenziedly (i think there is a wee possibility that may not be an actual word - so i'd check that out before using it at a dinner party and getting laughed at...) trying to get my website up and running. it was put together professionally and beautifully by an amazingly talented woman...and as i have taken over and tried to post some things on said website...i have messed up several crucial parts and made it less than the perfection it was. SO...as i try and finish that project...i thought i would let you know that i do indeed take paypal if you would all like to purchase a boat load of furniture on a credit card. :) i'll keep you posted on the progress of the website... i really am excited to start using it!!

found a super cute bench this week (well - with all the humility i can muster, i must admit that it was NOT super cute when i met it! hee hee) but NOW...it is black, distressed, adorable, useful, attractive with the awesome cushion included, comfortable, sturdy, and has amazing storage capabilities in the innerds! (really the storage area is huge! we discussed how you could quite possibly hide a boyfriend in there if your parents came home early...) which is why i need to sell this as soon as possible! HA!

i saw this end table and initially giggled and walked away - thinking that somewhere there was a man who was using scraps of wood and working with his son on a project gone awry...but then i looked a little closer and it dawned on me that it was actually pretty cool and quite possibly that shape on purpose. :) it would be perfect between two chairs sitting kinda slanted beside each other! and it is! being the NON math whiz that i am (i spent my math class in high school staring dreamy eyed at my husband (we met in 10th grade) and not paying attention to much else) it took me quite some time (and finally asking my 11 year old) to figure out that this was not technically called a "skywockled rectangle shape" but rather, a trapezoid. so - this awesome, very unique, built that way on purpose, trapezoidal end table can be yours!

it took all the courage i had...but i did not do this piece cream or black! i love the way the table and chair set turned out (search "gorgeous table and chairs set" to see how incredible it is) so i used the same yellow i used on that set. when it is distressed and antiqued it is so awesome. you really can't appreciate it in a photo! i loved the little iron legs on this too - and the fact that this puppy opens up and has storage room was just an extra little bonus! don't let the yellow scare you off - it really is surprisingly neutral and would be a fun little pop of color in your home!

so i'm thinking this little cabinet could change your life! :) it could be used so many places! i think it would be great for storing toys - it would work in an office for storing office supplies and could have a printer/fax/phone/copier on top - it would work in a media room to hold cd's and/or dvd's - it could go in a craft room to hold craft supplies (that was one of those stupid things to say - it could go in a craft room to hold groceries?? obviously you'd put craft stuff in it in a craft room, right??) i have chosen to take photos of how useful it could be in your bathroom. since my spouse has wanted me to post something in the bathroom for a while now - i thought this would work rather nicely. look how much storage space there is!!! (and i must admit that this is the first time i have ever taken the time to roll my towels - made me feel very fancy) (and posting this made me realize we are down to two rolls of t.p. - dangerous in a family our size!!) it's been painted cream and distressed and the inside is a cool peaceful light beachy blue color...really pretty! so i'm thinking - yep - this little cabinet could change your life!

the bench is new - the bookcase is a blast from the past - i think they look adorable together! the little bench would be perfect at the end of a twin bed - or in a corner - or in front of a vanity - lots of options - and i have NO CLUE why no one has purchased the darling book case! so here's what i'm gonna do...

the bookcase is listed for $85.00 but... i'm selling the bench for $45.00 and the book case for $65.00 or you can buy both for $95.00. incredible deal, huh?

so i know i always say "i love this piece" when i start a post - but this one would look so good in my bedroom it's not even funny! i really do like the molding, how it distressed and the cool hardware. it looks better in person - just is a really classy dresser. so if no one out there realizes how stunning this piece is, and if no one out there realizes what an incredible bargain my pieces are (i'm usually less than the assemble it yourself stuff at walmart!!!!), and if no one falls in love with this one - thats okay...cause i could drag it upstairs and use it myself and be very very happy! :) (since i DO realize it's stunning, an incredible bargain and i'm in love) ha ha

this is tricky to see in a photo - but it's darn cute! 5 drawer dresser - and yes - the little circles sucked me in! i thought they were unique and (WILL SOMEBODY GIVE ME SOME DAGGUM NEW ADJECTIVES??) and charming. they look (here we go again!) adorable distressed -they really "pop"! and this was an older piece so the drawer pulls were not a standard size. instead of special ordering and charging $650.00 for a dresser, i have ocassionaly been known to use bows as drawer pulls to keep costs low for you (i am SO thoughtful) but this looked ridiculous with bows...so i painted and distressed the original hardware - and it looks good! this is one of those pieces that you could use anywhere...so start walking around and noticing all the places you really need it - and then E-MAIL ME!!

(and we all know how incredible those can be...wouldn't want to be responsible for anyone falling over due to shock or having breathing issues from the intense involuntary gasping...so have a seat and get comfortable...passing out in a lazyboy isn't nearly as dangerous or uncomfortable as doing so standing up!)

this is a special order for an amazing lady...(she actually found the piece - can't take credit for that) and i got to totally rework it. i LOVE how it distressed - how expensive it looks now - how you see the awesome architectural lines - in fact i was really hoping the wonderful woman who brought it to me would NOT like it so i could buy it from her and keep it! hee hee

i've never really understood that phrase "you'll sleep like a baby". don't babies wake up every other hour screaming for food? why would you want to sleep like that? how about "you'll sleep like a teenager on a saturday morning who knows she has chores to do when she gets up"??? might not be as catchy a phrase but MUCH more accurate if you're going for sleeping like the dead! anyway...this is a truly beautiful piece of furniture. rich cream color - scalloped edge on the headboard and foot board. headboard is accented with charming carved wood detail. set comes with headboard, footboard, cool wooden rails for each side and slats for supporting mattress. after purchasing this gorgeous bed you'll sleep like someone who just took a triple dose of Nyquil (also not catchy = but again - more accurate than "sleep like a baby") haha

this is a huge and quite stunning framed mirror. the mirror is 36x48 - the overall piece is

52x 62. the hardest part about these photos was getting a picture without being in it!!! then i was all proud of being able to take a photo of it and NOT show up myself... and when i went to post it, the daggum vacuum was right in the middle of the mirror's reflection - not so attractive.
this would be beautiful in an entryway - and if mirrors make a room look larger like they say, then this should turn your home into a palace!!! :)

NOTICE THE USE OF YELLOW????? this was so much fun to do cause i rarely branch out into a color - figuring that neutral things will appeal to more people...but i love this set. the chairs are from the Nichols and Stone furniture company - and sell new for $795.00 each! whoa! they have really cool lines and are super sturdy and comfortable. (look up the nichols and stone furniture co on line for more info). the table has classy curved legs and seats four. after distressing and antiquing this piece has a beautiful old world charm. it really looks custom and expensive (you need to see it in person!!). would look gorgeous in a kitchen or breakfast area and can be accented with LOTS of different colors (red /black/brown/etc)

yep - another end table...but look how cute!!! magazines and books can be stored on either side and the scalloped edges are adorable! cream and distressed to bring out the pretty curves! (and as i was foolishly asking for help staging this (seems like i take all the pictures in the same room and i was hoping to change things up a little) my husband suggested that i mix things up a little by staging this in the bathroom - i thought he was joking but...seems he always needs reading materials in there - bottom shelf for storing extra t.p. - top shelf for his cell phone incase an important business call comes in...made perfect sense to him! i chose a more classy venue...but when you purchase it - choice is yours! :)

so 5 of my last 7 posts have been end tables! let me explain...i am working for someone right now who is sucking up all my time and i can't really get anything else done but wee end tables. i said that just to tease her...but really - i am working on a project that i'm totally excited about - i'll post pictures of it soon so you can see how busy i've been. in the meantime...you need to look at how awesome this little table is...

carved detail is beautiful and is on all four sides of the table - great classic legs.
now i'm wondering what's up with the glass on this table. these things stump me. if you put the glass on you have a lovely view of the innerds of the table - raw wood - nails - braces - not the kind of thing you usually decorate with. SO - being the "rethunker" that i am...i have added a plaid accent. i rather liked the way the plaid lent a masculine touch to the feminine swirls and carving. very cool and still very neutral. really pretty side table now!

aaaggghhh - i almost forgot!!! i would like to thank emma (my four year old) for loaning me her "tree" as part of the focal point of the staging! i am thinking the artistic genes have been passed to the next generation, wouldn't you agree??

so you know how i usually start my posts with "i love this" or "this is one of my favorites" or "i totally fell in love with this piece" or something along those lines....well... i don't really like this one. HA! seriously...i have always thought "what the heck?" on the little top shelf thing. how convenient is it to lean all up and reach inside the bottom shelf area?? how useful it that? but before my husband (who is in sales) comes over and slaps me (with love) for being a horrific sales person, let me say that in the end - i DID fall in love with this piece. first i decided that nothing needs to be smashed in the bottom under that top shelf. second nothing huge has to go on the top shelf - my little birds and a coaster worked great. third - how can you not like the lines of this - i wish I had legs like that...slender and a gorgeous shape! and the spindles and carved pieces on the sides are awesome. so i really actually DO like this piece - it's black and distressed and very pretty!! but since it started out not being my favorite

am i in a rut?

so ...seems like i have snagged quite a few end tables lately...am i in a rut? i think not! look how amazingly different each one is! cream/black/marble/distressed/hardware/carving...it all varies drastically!! :) as i post this little beauty, i have decided that i may have discovered another career path to becoming rich and famous that does not include always wearing my "grubbies" and having my friends giggle at spots of paint i have neglected to wash off as we're out in public together. what is that career path? you ask? well...as i look at this photo, i realize that you can X out red eye, you can crop in a square, you can change the lighting, but no one has come out with the "crumb crop". see all those crumbs under the darling table???? well why the heck won't my photo program allow me to x those puppies out like i can red eye??? why can't i crop in a U shape to scoop them out??? and surely i'm not the only person needing to crop out the ocassional crumb or ginormous dust bunny! so my advice would be to buy this darling piece while i'm still doing furniture....cause who knows when my "crumb crop" will take off... :) or i guess i could just sweep...

i think this is adorable!!! i love the curves and the little pedestal that connects the two pieces. it's the perfect height for a couch or chair (i personally think it's too low for a bedside table - but if you're wanting your dog to be able to reach everything it may be perfect for you) :) looks cute in the family room here - but would also be darling by a chair in your bedroom. one of a kind little thing - don't you think you need it??

So this post is a thank you post to Amy Anderson - my mod podge hero (heroine? that always sounds like drugs to me). she featured one of my pieces on her blog today. incredibly exciting for me!!!!! yee haw!!! i LOVE mod podge and her site is amazing! way inspiring...makes you want to go work on a project right now!!! she has some of the best ideas and her before and after shots are sooooo fun! i've laughed with her about the fact that i used to giggle about my mother using mod podge but now i lay awake at night stressed when i am running low and wondering why it isn't sold in the gallon size. HA! (amy says it is!) anyway.... you should check out her blog- course remember that no matter what amy says on her blog, using mod podge is very very tricky and not something you should try unless you are a trained professional...like myself. (will that stern warning keep you all from trying things on your own so you have to keep purchasing from me???) hee hee

cream dresser - distressed - antiqued - there are 5 drawers (count up from the bottom with me - those first three are normal, then there's one that looks like two, and then there's the little one at the top) i am including a close up shot so you can see the distressed and antiqued look AND so you can see that i have branched out (no pun intended) and instead of a little BIRD (now get the pun?) as an accent - i have ..... a butterfly ..... oooooo i am SO versatile!!

no furniture on this post - just a little bit of information....i had previously announced on my blog that i think chalkboards could play a role in bringing about world peace....well....as much as i love chalkboards, i have found where i draw the line...this was in a crafty little newsletter i receive and i thought - "oh my - spraying a pumpkin with chalkboard paint and then trying to write on that ever so NOT smooth surface is indeed where i draw the line!" just wanted you to know that i do occasionally have a wee bit of sense. (now i have offended everyone who is rushing out to spray their pumpkins and write little messages on them, haven't i????)

creamy white distressed end table with gorgeous carved detail - and that carving is on all four sides. very pretty little piece!!!

so there's a song by air supply (how old does it make me if i used to listen to and love air supply? anyone else willing to admit that or are you too chicken?) anywho - they have a song i love called the eyes of a child - it talks about how you can see hope and laughter as you look in the eyes of a child. well sometimes i do....and then sometimes i see someone i'd like to strangle :) and then sometimes i see someone that just makes me really happy. today my four year old emma made me really happy! how? let me waste some more of your time by giving you two examples....

#1 - i did not pay attention to the gas gauge as i was running errands today and when i looked down i was startled to notice that i was running on fumes! i talk out loud to myself (i've tried to stop and i can't) so emma heard me talking about running out of gas. well daddy just did that at emma's preschool (he's gonna LOVE that i mentioned that on my blog!!) and it was a big hairy deal!!! daddy was not happy so neither was anyone around him!!! based on that experience, emma was NOT looking forward to running out of gas. so = bless her heart = she asked me if she could say a prayer for us to get home. well obviously i didn't say no....so here was emma's prayer to help us through this little struggle:

"dear heavenly father- please help mom get gas - amen"

does that sound hysterical to anyone else???

example #2 - i am selling this end table i am posting right now, and em has seen me arrange things for a photo so she asked if she could "fix it up for the picture" i told her sure. she would carry something over and put it on the table and then say "no, that's not right" or "no, that isn't what it needs" (things i say 100 times every time i do this) and after about 5 minutes (which is a long time for a four year old) this is what she came up with. (see the last photo!!) a bag of animal crackers and a roll of toilet paper. the table was sitting on dad's side of the bed and she was so so proud - she told me "mom - it's everything daddy needs!"

today...it was easy to see that joy in the eyes of a child!

isn't this adorable???? it's a broyhill piece of furniture - two drawers and it's charming! carved detail on either side of the drawers and really cool legs/feet. it's cream and distressed and would make a wonderful bedside table - or i actually have it in my hallway at the end of the hall upstairs (cause i wasn't quite ready to make my bed and we can't have THAT in a picture!!!!). really sweet piece of furniture!

I'm thinking my favorite part of this post is my dead ivy draped ever so artistically over the top of the cabinet. see how it adds just the right touch? ha!

this is an antique piece - really cool carved legs - one long drawer and then two shelves inside - the glass was broken out of the door when i found her - but i actually see that as a plus - no need to keep things lovely or even neat inside now - just fill her and close her up! my kinda storage!! :)

i think this is such a restful bedroom set. get it? rest-ful? REST-ful ? my family doesn't get me either...oh well... i DO think this is a peaceful, restful bedroom set. set includes:

so let me just take a minute and explain what kind of immense work is involved in taking pictures like this - you need to spend a little more time looking at these photos!

first - tom and i don our hard hats as we contemplate entering our 15 year old's room. (she's the one with a queen bed so we can stage this) as we enter i discover that her method of cleaning up lately has been to make stacks of things - and i realize that there are about 47 stacks of clothes, school supplies, beauty aids and misc debris all around her room on the floor. after moving these piles to the closet, i personally am ready for a nap - but we have work to do! and need to do it quickly as the closet door - where we moved the 47 stacks = will most likely blow off the hinges at any given moment and we don't want to be in the room when that happens!

so next i realize that in order to get a halfway decent photo we need to move the bed to the other wall ( i made her a WAY cute headboard out of wallpaper - you should try it sometime - but it cannot be "moved" - hence the reason for moving the bed). this requires taking things off the wall - and at this point - very conveniently - my spouse recieves a phone call for work. :) well =long story short (or is it too late for that? ha ha) i remove all the stuff hanging on the wall, move the bed to that wall (discovering in the process about 49 MORE piles under the bed!) and set things up - realizing as i do that i need to replace the wall hangings that show in the photo and take down and replace the curtains with something more neutral. can you even believe the lengths i go to to get a picture of the pieces i complete? can you begin to understand the depths of despair i feel after i go to all the trouble and none of you BUY the piece????? can you see that i would need to be medicated afer a couple of weeks of my incredibly difficult work sitting in the basement??? at some point during the moving and tugging and pulling tom almost always asks why i had to do the daggum furniture....why couldn't i just crochet stuff? LOTS easier to move around!!! ha! and today.... i asked MYSELF why i wasn't just makin' doilies!!!!

so last time i posted a plant stand i was embarrassed to discover that i have no plants. it was tricky to stage a plant stand when one owns no vegetation other than the plethera of weeds in the now overtaken landscaping (actually who am i kidding - i don't even think it could be called landscaping any longer! it's just a weed patch. -does it count that the weeds are healthy??) so i decided to focus on this little guy as a side table. a unique - beautifully carved side table. a distressed, antiqued stunning little end table. an awesome piece for almost any home! and as you can see...no live vegetation required!

so i am figuring that after looking at this several of you will decide i have no class or taste whatsoever, remove yourselves from the "followers" list and tell your friends i need some therapy...but i was at a thrift store yesterday and i found a patient hospital cart. it was silver and rusted on the bottom and the lovely brown top we all know and love from being in the hospital giving birth to something or for more serious stays...

i thought to myself...hmmmm....i am gettin' pretty tired of holding my laptop, or stretching over to the nightstand, or laying it beside me and leaning sideways or trying to balance it on a lap desk...so i brought that hospital cart home.

after scrubbing and spraying the base and painting and sealing the top...

viola - a perfect place for my laptop as i sit in bed and post things for you to praise and purchase! perfect? yep! cause there is enough room for my laptop....AND a whole plate of food right beside it! (or at least some killer snacks!) hee hee

i have included a photo of my husbands laptop - just carelessly tossed on his nightstand - taking up lots of room and having to be hoisted on and off of his lap each time he needs to use it - ever so inconvenient! in fact - he has ordered a cart like mine (minus the flowers of course to preserve his manhood!) :)

so i found this adorable sofa table and fell in love with the carved detail - after painting, distressing and antiquing i loved it even more - but decided it deserved something better than the chipped glass that came with it...so i went shopping...and couldn't decide!!! i found three very different color schemes that i thought looked pretty with the cream. what to do... well i happened to meet two new friends that day (hey heather and jan!!!) and they suggested that i post it with the three different options and let YOU decide!! DUH! what a great idea!! (sometimes i'm pretty slow - but i can learn!) so here are your options:

basic black (how could that NOT be one of the choices, right?) black and cream floral - and in the photo the table is actually used as a sofa table

green - i loved this pattern - very classic design (and in this photo the table is in the entry way - great way to display special photos and have a place to throw your mail and keys when you come in) and last option:

the gorgeous light blue and cream pattern - such a peaceful piece of fabric (do i sound psycho? it really is a soft stunning pattern! and surprisingly neutral)

this is an absolutely beautiful twin bed. solid wood - painted black - distressed - includes headboard, footboard and side rails (i tucked in my daughter's quilt so you could see the side rails in the picture - i think they are so fun! the twists on the spindles are so pretty. this really is a piece that will last for years! very classic - and even tho it's black it works for a girls room (like you see here - can't argue with how stunning that is, can you?) or would work in a boys room too! (i am always so excited when i do something that could work for a boy!!)

i'm sure you're wondering about the first photo in this post - why let me explain!!!
so here's the deal - this is a fabulous trundle bed! had it in my son's room till inexplicably he stopped sleeping in it. flat out refused. here is why...

spouse (who thinks he has QUITE the sense of humor) removed the mattress from the trundle part and climbed in - how the heck he "closed" himself i'll never know... but then poor son comes in = climbs peacefully in bed - wonderful mother that i am i kiss him goodnight and turn off the lights. you see where this is going? all the sudden son hears growls and scratching under his bed. i would dare say a child has rarely been as traumatized as son was at this particular moment! TRULY there was some sort of monster under there! (which is the only way to describe his ever so funny father at this point in time) replacing the mattress in it's designated spot did nothing to convince son that it was a one time occurance based on the fact that his dad is an idiot. so the only option was to list the trundle bed for sale - with advice not to try this in your own home - unless you too are willing to sell it - and incidentally - we'd really like to sell this one - we need the cash to pay for therapy for the son!

my spouse is still laughing and quite certain some father out there will purchase it just to try the same demented trick in his own home!

this is a wee bit retro - not lotsa carving, clean lines, little curve to the front, three drawers on the right, cabinet on the left, fun legs and the hutch part has lotsa neat little compartments to fill instead of the regular straight shelves. it's backed with a classy red print fabric. this piece has not been distressed or antiqued ... i couldn't decide...so i ended up deciding that i'm letting you decide. if you want the piece let me know if you want it as it is - or if (for no extra charge) you'd like it distressed and antiqued. seems like a matter of personal taste with this piece. if you're going retro-ish you probly want it left alone - if you like the other look, i think distressing it would make the drawers pop and it would be way cool. you decide!

white dresser with pink hardware - drawers on the left hand side and a cabinet on the right side - (can be used for storage or actually has a rod for hanging clothes that pulls out - totally cool, huh?) really cute piece - my thirteen year old loved it for clothes and stashing backpack and school stuff in the cabinet. you could add a pad to the top and it would make a way cool changing table with lots of storage for a nursery. would be good in a playroom for organizing toys- larger toys could go in the cabinet...

This is my first before/after post - this was an incredible amount of work - but insanely satisfying due to the amazing transformation! i must say i have impressed even myself! hee hee

so here is the BEFORE:

i thought this was pretty cool. (you know - that really is one of those "understood" things that i don't need to say - how stupid would it be to start a post with "this is ONE UGLY piece!!! but i thought maybe someone out there with horrible taste..." obviously i like the pieces i purchase!)

two drawers. bottom is a normal under-achiever drawer - but the TOP....well the TOP opens to reveal some really cool, really clean black velvet which will nicely showcase anything you would like to display! i chose to display items that focused on my family because i am loving and good, but you could display shallow things like memoirs from the beach/ocean, momentos from family vacations, black and white photos would be cool, collections of anything small enough to fit - like i would not advice trying to fit your antique car collection - i'd maybe go with stamps...

i am now working on redoing a friend's dining room. yep - pretty much the whole room - how exciting is that??? it's a little stressful cause she's insanely classy and i want her to love it - but mostly it's just a ton of fun! the first photos are of her PREVIOUS chairs. sadly, her table matched them(tee hee) - but (imagine a little "twinkle" sound here... ) voila! no longer!! the table looks gobs better! creamy and distressed, it's updated and ready to set the tone for a whole new look!!

this is a really uber cool map table. look at the photos that i artfully captured and you can see that each of the three drawers slide all the way thru either direction. this is not an easy piece to find - not something that you see everyday - it's a fun and useful coffee table - lots of storage (for skinny stuff - ha ha) -and i realize that this particular one is not "new" - but pottery barn sells a similar table for 600 bucks. this would be a fun conversation piece...so if you're someone who never has a clue what to talk about you need this - "hey - how 'bout my cool table..." - breaks the ice every time!

i thought this bench had really cool lines. i liked the legs, the carving on the sides and the little turned arms. it looks cute in a front entryway - i have even showcased it with a splash of color (red in this case, but lots of other colors would do!) and i also took a couple pictures of it as an "end of the bed bench" which was pretty tricky since there is no black whatsoever in my bedroom! i thinks it's really cool...but right now i have chosen the manly colors of "blush" (read pink) and celery (read green) specifically with my husband in mind. bah ha ha ...but anywho - that isn't the point of this post. point is that i have for sale an incredibly versatile piece of furniture that you really need in your home!

okay - so if you follow the blog at all, you already know that i think that chalkboards could indeed play a role in bringing about world peace. so i don't need to go into details there...

instead, let's all take a moment and look at the "miley face" my four year old drew on this chalkboard...could it BE any more darling? (and the unibrow is hair for all of you who are wondering! no receding hairlines in our family - apparently they are descending hair lines. haha) if you have all gone "aaaaawwwww" over the "miley face", then let's shift our attention and focus for a moment on the fact that she wrote her name - (emma) beside the drawing - thus proving to the world that she is insanely intelligent.

we took a moment to look at those things so i could prove to you that this chalkboard will make you happy - you felt a wee bit happy seeing what my daughter drew, right??? just think how happy you'll be looking at works of art your OWN family creates!! i did it! i branched out into another color! no black! this one is.....BROWN! (and the standard cream of course!) seven drawer dresser with a little cupboard in the middle. again - as with lots of my stunning pieces, this is very versatile - could go in a dining room as a sideboard - would be gorgeous with the right shade of blue! really pretty with creamy colored china displayed on the brown top, and lots of storage space. would work for a tv cabinet - storage of dvd's etc on either side and electrical components in the little cupboard on the shelf. would be great in a BOY's room! (i am so proud to have done a boy thing) and the little cupboard area would be perfect for him to gently fold and store special sweaters. (HA!) lots of options!

This is a black three drawer dresser and hutch set. Big hot pink knobs on the dresser and the hutch is lined with three different coordinating fabrics. super set of cubbies - there are nine (saved you the time of counting :D ) and there are so many ways these could be used. i have decided to showcase my top two favorites here...

#1 - could be used as a shoe cubby. i have shoes in this from my 4 year old all the way up to my 15 year old (i must say we skipped the boy - his need to be in an airtight container and handled only while wearing a hazmat suit) so i'd say any size shoe would fit. great for by the door or use it in your closet for your own nine favorite pairs of shoes. :D

#2 - could be used in a home office - give everyone in the family a cubby and that's where they put notes from school - lists of what they need - papers to sign - agendas - outgoing mail - etc.

Aaaaaahhhhhh!!!!! i LOVE this piece. it was so much fun!! whoever buys this has INCREDIBLE taste! tee hee i really do think it's cool. i loved the lines of this piece. details? it's a sideboard/buffet piece but would also work for those of you looking for a classy place for your flatscreen tv's - all the components would fit in the bottom cupboard, dvds on the right and left, remotes in the top two drawers...pretty awesome - am i right? painted cream - with a black top and distressed. one of a kind find!!

adorable night stand - little bun feet - two shades of pink (and neither shade is in the pepto bismal family!!! that's hard to do - i'll expect some compliments there!) brushed silver hardware - one drawer and bottom cabinet that looks like a little shutter opens for lots of storage! really cute in a little girls room - or i took a picture with it in my bedroom with some sparkly accents (i LOVE sparkles) and more grown up accessories.

this is a funky little thing i found...end table topped with a piece of marble...with two doors that open for lotsa storage.. whimsical little legs and hip hardware... quirky little piece. (how am i doing on my adjectives?? pretty cool huh?)

this one is priced astonishingly low because - in the spirit of full disclosure, there is one small stain on the marble. i have artfully disguised it with the wee yellow photo frame you see in the picture. you too can cover it with no problem. so...

beautiful (its not my fault - not ONE of you has e-mailed me new adjectives to use!) french provincial dresser. cream color with stunning (again, not my fault) hardware. (this is the same batch of hardware that i spent hours cleaning and sacrificed the skin on my arm and hand for - chemical burn - ouch!) i decided to kinda stage this one as a sideboard. it's fun to think "out of the box" and this doesn't just have to be a dresser. this is in my entryway and although i probably need a splash of color...it looks really nice in the front foyer. it would also be beautiful in a dining room as a buffet...especially if your table is the queen anne style! and obviously it would look adorable in a little girl's bedroom. look around your house and i bet you'll decide there are a couple of places you could use this!

cool black toybox - complete with air holes in the back (kinda cracks me up - apparently incase your little one climbs in...) and safety hinge that keeps the lid from closing on little fingers. cushion on top is gorgeous paisley fabric in pinks, greens, blacks...

BUT WAIT...think how cute it would be with your child's name on the front in hot pink (or the color of your choice as long as you have good taste - ha!)

so let me just confess that there are things that i finish, and i stand back and i'm all proud or excited and my family will come in and in a very loving way ask something like "do you really think someone is going to buy THAT?". (and just for the record, so far, yes - someone has!) THIS piece i brought in from the garage and everyone -all six of them- loved it! it was so much fun! i started to keep it just so i could hear them praise me on a regular basis... :)

this is an antique distressed bookcase backed with brown polka dot fabric. it's painted a cream color and rubbed with an antiquing gel. super cheerful, fun and happy. lots of storage space! i didn't "fill it up" so the fabric would show in the pictures, but there is a lot of space for organizing. i took the photos in my front room and although it's a distressed "shabby chic" kinda piece it looks awesome next to my pottery barn leather chairs. so it's pretty neutral. would look good accented with all kinds of colors - i think it would even be fun in a kids room with pink accents for a girl or blues for a boy.
